Lorenzo: I can handle that

(Don) Rescind notice to vacate and ask for payment plan

Don: I paid $400 yesterday, and will put in another extra payment in a couple weeks

Bernard: are you hoping to stretch your lease out to 24 months?

Corey: that would add a little over $100 to your rent each month

Don: I can handle that

Don and Reyna negotiate a lease signing for Wednesday

unanimously passes

(Danzale) rescind notice to vacate and ask for payment plan Danzale: I just want a 1 year payment plan

Toast: I can do 2 years

(standing) Officer Reports

Lottie (Food Buyer): Did not use much of the budget because we got a lot of free groceries, will buy more food next month

Angelia (Events): Saving up events budget for a big Halloween party because I love Halloween, PBE is not doing their event as planned

Serenity (Labor Czar): In order to fix the labor system, I am just going to return to the pre-COVID labor system, which means labor fines are returning

Corey: Labor fines are $15

Bernard: if you cannot do your labor, make sure it is done by someone else or talk to the Labor Czar

Bernard (Kitchen Manager): Thank you to our commons cleaner (Diana) for cleaning the kitchen! Thank you to KAF volunteers for putting our food away! If you use the toilet or shower in the commons, please clean any mess you leave. It is not fair to have the commons cleaner clean up human waste when we are all grown. I changed out all the bug zappers.

Ivy (Steward): David is working on getting Sasona a board rep, because they do not have one. I'm working on a new member orientation in September because we have many people moving in that may not understand the backend and maintaining tasks that go into keeping the co-op afloat. Will report again about it next officer meeting.

Reyna (MemCo): I need to sign more rent increased leases. One room in 202 is available and all of 208 is available. I also need to sign leases for people on payment plans. I will hunt you down this week.

Bernard: if people don't pay their payment plans, do we evict them?

Corey: we issue a new notice to vacate

Toast (Maintenance Coordinator): I'm having a hard time finding someone to fix the dryer

Tiff (Bookkeeper): I was ill, I'm coming back

Corey (Board/Financial Control Officer): I took over for Bookkeeper while Tiff was indisposed. There are a couple tiny debts that need to be handled, but all the large debts are on payment plans/signing them soon.

(Reyna) Daniel Miller reached out about sharing a doc between College Houses, ICC and CHEA about warning about problematic members + referrals for recent graduates who love coop life but aren't eligible for student coops anymore Reyna: Daniel suggested a shared doc for banned members, and a way in which to get graduated college house members to non schooling co-ops. Sounds like Daniel already has it covered and we just need to integrate into it

Bernard: why do colleges need to know who we ban?

Corey: so that they can filter potentially problematic members, and visa versa

Bernard: makes sense to me

Frog: there's already a rule that if someone is booted from here they can't move into other CHEA houses, but we have no way to track that info reliably so this would be good

Corey: if no one pays attention it isn't useful

Diana: can't we just ask people when they apply?

Reyna: people might not be honest

Frog: people have been dishonest about this in the past

Kate: would this be on the wiki? That would be bad

Reyna: we would only list our vacancies on the wiki

Corey: we should talk about this at a board meeting too, but there's no one from Sasona on the board anymore

many “oh no”s ensue

(Gabe) discuss rescinding notice to vacate Corey: Gabe can't make it to the meeting, but he has paid off half his debt and can pay of the rest today

Many people express that they trust this to be true
