Wiki Updates & Announcements

1. Notices to vacate are set for 12/21 at 10:00pm - people have 2 weeks to get on the agenda and request a payment plan.

2. 104 update - walls need to be mopped, and then floors, and then coats of paint. That can be done by any maintenance labor.

3. Laundry - stop overfilling the washing machines. They were just fixed. Use less soap than you think you need - they are high-efficiency machines. Also, please check your laundry in a timely manner and move between machines as necessary.

Agenda Items

Note: $ must be escaped by preceding with a \. Example: \$100

(Ivy) We should have a way for people to add or suggest agenda items besides adding stuff via the website; we could make a laminated form that lives on the commons door for people to add items, and after a set deadline (ex: standard agenda deadline) whatever is on the form will be on that week's agenda, and anything posted after will be deferred to the following week's meeting or discussed as new business.

- Ivy is willing to do a wiki tutorial about how to add items to agenda.

- (Kate) - it is in our rules that you can write something on a piece of paper and add it to the corkboard at the end of the commons hallway by the Friday deadline.

- Ivy will work this week on creating a streamlined spot to post in or outside of the commons.

(Richard) discuss and plan our upcoming labor holiday

- (Kate) the idea is a labor holiday where we clean around people's fridges and stoves (to mitigate rats) and supply people with big plastic bins for food storage.

- (Richard) offer mini-labor holiday for everyone not available mid-January to get 104 and any other units ready for move-in.

- (Richard) When was our boiler last replaced? (Corey) In the last 5 years.

- (Reyna) What about putting in a new keybox?

-(Corey) What if we put a sheet up for labor holiday suggestions? Or erased some whiteboard materials?

New business

- (Corey) Kate & Corey have finished up the worst part of 104 - people can go in for general cleaning. Kate will send detailed instructions to maintenance for next steps. Started assessing the work of 208. Unfortunately, it is also significant. Corey & Kate are donning PPE and doing the bulk of the stuff, and then others can go in and do final cleaning/painting if needed. We also have a new dumpster. Do not climb into it. The door can slam on you and greviously injure you. Don't put anything into it. Please just leave the dumpster alone. Just leave it alone. Please. Thank you.

- (Ivy) Officer terms are expiring soon. Will have officer nominations posted by next Sunday, so we can have nominations for a week, and elections by the end of December. (Richard) - If we did it correctly, terms would expire at the end of January. (Ivy) - This year, we had elections early, but did not transfer officer positions over until July 1st. (Kate) We did elections early so there would be time for new officers to be trained by old officers. Current terms end January 1st (6 months from July 1st).
