Wiki Updates & Announcements

Pest update: Plan is to set up traps and bait stations now that we’ve sealed the fascia properly. We’re going to catch as many as we can before we seal up the internal holes. First contractor visit is Tuesday. ChemFree hadn’t been updating the bait stations.

Ivy: I’m starting up kitchen meetings soon. There are new people in kitchen labor positions. It’s a good time to restart them. Look for an email this week.

Point of information: Please eat the many salads in the commons!

POI: There’s some Narcan in the commons. I can refill It easily. Don’t hesitate to use it.

Agenda Items

(kate) allow nynke to postpone recieving monthly late fees until the 20th of the month-their paycheck schedule makes it difficult for them to pay by the 7th, but they have been paying on a consistent schedule. also waive $30 in late fees.

Kate: The late fees are from a finance officer mistake, not Nynke’s, so we should waive those. Nynke’s been paying consistently whenever they get their second paycheck. We were also talking about waiving the late fees until the 20th for Nynke.

POI from several people: That seems fair and helpful.

Clarifying question: This is for Nynke specifically?

POI: Yes.

Concerns / friendly amendments

CQ: So this would be creating an ongoing special financial situation for one member of the co-op?

POI: Yes.

CQ: Could we make it a general rule, like, “people who are paid bi-monthly can have their late fees waived at the discretion of the finance officers?”

POI: I feel like the time to make the money to pay the rent should be during the previous month. I’d like to have a long-term solution for this.

Amendment: We can table the late fee discussion for now, so let’s amend this to just waive the $30 in late fees.

Thirty dollars in late fees waived for Nynke.

New business

POI: Roaches in the commons. <We discuss poisons, Borax, roach motels.>

CQ: What’s the dryer fixing status?

POI: We need a contractor to look at it. Part of the drum attachment has come undone, and we don’t have the repair manual. The former maintenance coordinator was working on getting a guy, let’s contact him.
