====== Wiki Updates & Announcements ======

(Serenity) Good news is that nothing is broken from the freeze yet. There is an emerging problem with the HVAC in the commons - the furnace is kaput and there is a possible gas leak. Corey turned off the gas to the furnace. Some of the wiring/hoses look damaged/chewed on. If you have electric heaters, please donate them to the commons so we can maintain warmer temperatures near the pipes.

(Corey) Please avoid using the north stairs as much as possible. There's a high potential for black ice in that area, even after salting.

===== Agenda Item 1 =====

(standing ) officer reports

Ivy - Steward - Trying to schedule a meeting for Aaron and Richard to meet and get Aaron logged into the Labor Czar email etc. Also need to get with Joy to fill out paperwork for Board Rep. After that, all elected positions should be logged in.

Kate - Treasurer - Need to collect all January receipts after the meeting, to be input for the end of the month. Also, there are a couple notices to vacate that will be posted tomorrow (not the deadline to address them, just the posting date). Current notice to vacate to be filed in court.

Bernard - Kitchen Manager - Not going to change the bug traps now since it's cold. The commons pantry is still getting cleaned, the refrigerators look good. Changed bulbs and cleaned the plate fixtures in the commons so they're more clear. Won't know what to do with some of the labor assignments (DCUs/cooks/etc) until the new Labor Czar is set up.

Frog - Events Coordinator - Many people have been asking for a Valentine's event, so that's in the works.

Corey - NP Board - NP is working on scheduling the next meeting in March, where they'll work on their budget. We got a check reader so we don't have to go to the bank to deposit checks anymore. Small cost involved but time saved will make it worthwhile. Unclear if the reader can be used for money orders too.

Membership (Frog, Corey, Jeb) Jeb is planning to move into 202 this week, possibly with 207 Jenn - to be confirmed in the next day or two. 208 still needs cleaning, possibly professional cleaning, and the fridge might need to be emptied and disposed of. Also something in the 208 door broke, and likely needs a new doorknob. 111 still has some items in it.

Jill - Grounds - Toast did a lot of plant covering. Yay Toast!

Serenity - Maintenance Coordinator - We likely won't have any contractors able to get out in the next couple days because of the weather. (Corey) please especially immediately report leaks, especially around 202, 208, and 111, which are vacant. Hot water pressure is low right now, which is to be expected. Monday or Tuesday, we can expect better water pressure as we stop needing to drip faucets. No new reports of rat activity except one in Bernard's unit. The rats are dragging the traps into hard-to-reach locations, making the job more difficult.

(jeb) please dispose of cigarettes properly! All smokable items (cigarettes, rolled joints and spliffs) must be disposed of in proper receptacles. (Bernard) Adding onto that, please keep the courtyard clean, clean up behind yourself, and respect the people who clean the courtyard.

(Lorenzo) Dead cars in the parking lot - please fix or dispose of them accordingly! We need those spots!

(Frog) Is there a way for people to indicate which cars are theirs? (Corey) There is a spreadsheet that could use updating. - Possibly in the MemCo drive.

(Bernard) We need to figure out if we're getting rid of the deep freezer or getting it cleaned. It needs to thaw out and then get bleached.

Jill can get that done this week.
